Basketball Spreadsheet
We will be creating a spreadsheet of some of the best players in the NBA. We will use Google Spreadsheet
for this assignment. Type the information below* and then read and follow the directions on the next page.

Please make the following changes:
• Add a bottom border to row 4.
• Bold the titles.
• Center the titles, age column, names column, and games played column.
• Format columns G, J, and M as percents (%) rounded to the tenths.
• Colum G (Field Goal %). Compute the percentage of field goals made. Think fo FG as the number
of questions your go right on a test, and FGA as the total number of questions. Figure it out the same.
• Columns J and M. Compute the 3 point Field Goal percentage and the Free Throw percentage the
same way you did in column G.
• Column N (Points). Write a formula that shows how many points each player scored. Field Goals
count as 2 points, 3 FG counts as 3 points, and FT counts as 1 point. Be sure to remember the order of
operations.
• Column O (Average points per game). Find the average points for each player. Make sure to use cell
references and remember that you don’t have to use a function formula all of the time.
