Grade Level IEP Goal: Given a short book with both text, illustrations and a graphic organizer, student will demonstrate understand-
ing of the text by retelling the story, asking and answering questions, and describing events with 80% accuracy over 3 different
books.
STAR Aligned IEP GOAL: Given a token board, ve picture sequences given in random order, and the cue, “Put in order,” student
will demonstrate an understanding of sequencing by placing a three-part pictures sequence in order with 80% accuracy on two
consecutive days.
Instructional Tools/Resources Needed: Token boards or reinforcers, visual supports, manipulatives for STAR lessons, books for stu-
dents at Level 2 and Level 3 of STAR, materials for “ Themes First!” activities
