Weekly News April 24, 2023
*Support our theatre program and attend an amazing production!!!
*Principal’s Points to Ponder:
1) As we head into the home stretch of the school year, please assist your students by helping them maintain
focus academically and by staying on top of their progress through JMC. Please also check that they are
in dress code as they leave in the morning. This can avoid an extra trip for parents or family members to
bring appropriate clothes for their student.
2) Thanks to all families for your assistance during state testing. Any makeup tests that are needed will
occur this week.
*Save the date Spring Concert is Friday, May 12, at 7 p.m.
*Prom is almost here, and ticket sales are open!
• Prom is Saturday, May 20, at the County Fair Grounds in Union Grove.
• Tickets are $50 + a $5.20 fee on Eventbrite. Ticket prices are determined by the Rotary Club; our school
receives no part of ticket revenues.
• It is listed as a “private” sale on Eventbrite, so it is not available through a general online search.
• Rotary will gather emergency contact information at the time of ticket purchase from each student – it is a
considerable online process.
• Here is the website to buy Prom tickets: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/racine-founders-rotary-post-prom-
2023-lutheran-hs-tickets-599175880187 Password: 2023LutheranProm
• Tickets will be available until May 5!
• This website has Prom details: http://rotarypostprom.com/lutheran-high-school/
• Our motorcade will line up at the Mount Pleasant Village Hall at about 6 p.m. We will not be meeting at school
beforehand. More details will follow.
• Seniors may bring dates from other schools, and our usual rule requiring a guest form for guests still applies.
• Each student may bring only one guest and may only purchase a total of two tickets.
• Any concerns about students’ eligibility to attend prom will be handled by Mr. Smith.
*International Opportunities:
TODAY! Travel opportunity from Mr. Hasseldahl: Join us on an upcoming educational travel experience to
Costa Rica in Summer 2024! When students travel, they expand their knowledge of the world around them,
discover more about themselves, and grow more confident. These skills are critical for creating the global
citizens of tomorrow, and we would love to have your student (and you!) be part of this adventure. Come hear
all the details, including the itinerary, activities, academic opportunities, the cost of the trip and EF’s risk-free
enrollment period at our informational meeting on Monday, April 24, at 6:30 p.m. Please click here to register
for the meeting ASAP to save your seat: https://bit.ly/4364QRg. There are limited spots on this trip, so we
would love to have you attend this meeting to learn more about this exciting opportunity!
