Welcome and Congratulations to each of you from all of us here at
Bridgewater Community Little League, your host of the 2022 Little League
Virginia State Major Softball Tournament.
To: District Administrators and District Champions
We know each of you are excited on your achievement in advancing in the
State Tournament and we are excited to host you in Bridgewater. We hope
this will be a very memorable time for you and your family and if any
individuals listed in this packet can help you in any way, please do not
hesitate to ask. We hope you will enjoy Bridgewater and the surrounding
Shenandoah Valley. There are many beautiful sights to see, and we hope
you have an opportunity to work them into your schedule.

Registration and Manager & Coaches Meeting
All managers, coaches should arrive at Turner Ashby High School on July
13 between Noon-2:00 PM for registration.
Please make arrangements with the tournament director if you are unable
to meet the registration schedule.
All managers and coaches will be required to complete a concussion in
sports training course prior to the tournament. This course can be found by
visiting www.nfhslearn.com.
Following registration, the Managers, Coaches and Umpires Meeting will
be held at 2:00 at Turner Ashby High School. Only rostered managers and
coaches may attend.
What to bring to Registration on July 13 at noon:
1. Paper and writing instrument for note taking
2. Rule book for reference
3. Completed affidavit with all signatures and supporting documentation,
including concussion training for manager and coaches.
4. One copy of medical release for each player.
5. Little League Baseball, Incorporated 2022 Form Release and Waiver
Signed for each player, manager and coach
6. Questions and comments will be fielded after meeting
Opening Ceremonies
Opening ceremonies will be held on July 13 at 7:00 on the track of Turner
Ashby High School. In the event of rain, opening ceremonies will be held in
the gym.

Picnic
A picnic for players, coaches, managers, umpires and guests will be held
on July 13 at 4:00 at Turner Ashby High School (800 N. Main St,
Bridgewater, VA) at the track.
Picnic tickets for players, official coaches, managers, league officials and
umpires are complimentary. Guest admission to the picnic is $12 for
adults and $6 for children 7 and under. All picnic tickets need be pre-
ordered by July 9. Information on the picnic, including how to purchase
tickets, can be found on the tournament website (registerbcll.com).

There will be limited numbers of tickets available for purchase on the day
of the picnic for $15.

Admission/Parking Fees
No admission will be charged for entrance to park and fields. Parking is
free. Please only park in designated parking spaces and areas. Do not
park in prohibited areas.
Spectator Policies and Procedures
Noisemakers are prohibited including speakers, cowbells, horns etc.

No alcoholic beverages or tobacco products are allowed on the
grounds of Bridgewater Community Little League Field Complex at
Oakdale Park
No tents or canopies will be allowed between the Fieldhouse and the
Dugouts during gameplay
Tents, lawn chairs and canopies are permitted along the foul line
beyond the dugouts and beyond the outfield fence. Please avoid
obstructing, distracting or hindering the view of others trying to enjoy
the game. No blocking of field entrances or gates.
No equipment associated with parental streaming of games may be
affixed to any location of the playing facility including light stanchions
and fencing. If a parent wishes to stream a game, it must be viewed
through a personal social media account for private use only and may
not be on the open internet. All streaming must be done in
compliance with Little League International policies.

Game Procedures/Guidelines
If a coin toss to determine home/visitor does not take place at the manager
meeting, managers are to arrive at the field 100 minutes before their game
and report immediately to the tournament director for a coin toss to
determine home or visitor. The team traveling the greatest distance will call
and the winner of the toss will choose home or visitor. The team losing the
coin toss chooses their dugout.
90 minutes prior to scheduled starting time, visiting team takes
batting practice in batting cage beyond fields 2 and 3 respectively
depending on team’s field of play
65 minutes prior to schedules start time, home team takes batting
practice in batting cage beyond fields 2 and 3 respectively depending
on team’s field of play.
40 minutes prior to the scheduled start time, the visiting team has the
field
30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time, the home team has the
field
20 minutes prior to the scheduled start time, the pregame ceremonies
will begin
5 minutes prior to the scheduled start time, the Tournament Director,
the Umpires and Managers discuss the ground rules at home plate.
Scheduled Start Time—game begins
Timeline may be modified at the discretion of the Tournament Director or
designee.
Only the manager, two coaches and a maximum of 14 players will be
allowed on the field or in the dugout.
Before every game, there will be a pregame ceremony to include the
National Anthem, Little League Pledge and announcing of players,
managers, coaches and umpires.
When you game is over, immediately go to the press box to sign your
affidavit.
Concessions Information
Concessions will be available starting by 11:00 each day. The concessions
stand is located at the Field 3 fieldhouse.
Cash and credit cards are accepted. There is a $5 minimum on credit card
transactions. The standard menu is included on the following page.

Each team is responsible for furnishing their own equipment for the
tournament. In the event a team needs additional equipment, Dick’s
Sporting Goods is the tournament recommended sporting goods store and
is located at 1925 E Market St., Harrisonburg, VA.
